An option in the preferences to scale the UI by percentage, up to maybe 300% would be very welcome.

As it stands, using Defold on a smaller 4K screen in native resolution makes the UI nearly impossible to read, severely cutting into the enjoyment of using this software.

Please try using a custom CSS file and increase the size of various things such as text to see if you can make a CSS file with a higher zoom that works for you. Some CSS tricks may not work.

Experiments with editor styling using JavaFX CSS

update 2022-06-29: There is nowadays a manual page for editing the css. The defold editor is created using Java/Clojure with JavaFX for its UI* and JavaFX CSS for styling. Hm. Defold handles the system’s scaling very well. I use 4K monitor with 200% scaling on Windows 10.

Is there a list of element names? Just changing the font size doesn’t change the UI element size (search bars, etc.)

It doesn’t seem to abide by Gnome’s UI scaling options under Linux. Which is understandable, too many different desktop environments to keep track of.
