Is it possible to change the pitch of audio before it’s played?
I’m looking to be able to randomly adjust pitch slightly before each is played.
No, I’m afraid not. The built-in system to play sounds is fairly basic. You could perhaps look into using the OpenAL extension by @sergey.lerg: https://github.com/Lerg/extension-openal
