Work on project locally

Hey, is there a way I can work on my project without having an internet connection? I see the branches are on my computer

You need to have a connection when you open a project. Once you have the project open in the editor then you don’t need a connection. You can also work completely offline and build and bundle using the command line tools but you won’t have access to any of the scene editing tools so you are more or less limited to editing existing code.

I am connecting from South Africa and my Internet connection is very unreliable. Sometimes it works great for days but there are times when it can be down for hours/days at a time.

In addition to the above, I am not always near an Internet hotspot or WIFI coverage when I have some time to work on a game.

It is very frustrating to not be able to open projects that I have checked out locally.

@King, please consider removing this restriction.

It’s being removed in Editor 2 AFAIK.

Yes, it is a legacy thing in the current editor. It will be removed.

Thanks for the reply. I am still trying to find my feet using Defold (existing Corona dev) and I am nervous about the transition…
