The synchronize button appears to be missing from Defold for me. I’ve followed these directions for setting up the project to use with git: Project setup
But when I open the project the synchronize button doesn’t appear in the file menu.
I’m using Version 1.9.8 of Defold and my OS is Ubuntu 24.04.2.
Was this feature removed or does the linux version not have this feature? It seems really odd.
That was removed not too long ago in 1.9.7. There shouldn’t be any references to it in the manual anymore.
That would be a good reason I didn’t see it then. So there isn’t a way from within Defold to do version control anymore. I’d have to do it from the terminal?
Terminal works, but I recommend GitHub Desktop:
It runs on Linux and it’s a lot nicer to use than Defold’s Git integration was.
