Using Defold for a project

Im currently in Year 12 studying Computer Science and as a part of that course we need to create a project of some sort. I was looking at using Defold to do my project in but I need to know what is achievable in Defold before I start learning/using it.

The project needs to be moderately complex and I would need to create a game with some sort of computer enemy. Is this possible and are there examples of games that can be created in Defold so I know is this is right for me?

I think I was reading my dads 6502 assembler books younger than that hehe
