Good work everyone! I couldn’t make it this time unfortunately, irl got in the way There’s always next time…
Updated the itch.io page:

And here is the first stage gameplay video {spoiler alert!]
A very good game, I must say. Really joyful to play!
BTW : That speaking computer will make an excellent logo for CyberCrap Studios
Full walkthrough for my sadistic game
I did a little post-jam update to mine. I reduced the max number of tentacles, so it doesn’t go crazy and become impossible nearly as fast. I added bindings for another player with a gamepad (D-pad and ‘A’), awesome that gamepads just work on web now! Also I increased all the game.project allocation settings, and did a few little optimizations, so hopefully it runs better when the screen starts filling up with alien tentacle bits. I’m working on another optimization that should make it perform way better, but it requires quite a bit of refactoring.
I’m trying to think of what to do with it from now on. Originally it was going to be a pretty normal little shooting game, but now I really prefer the part where you drive around cutting off tentacles and shoving them into the zapper. It seems like it should be some kind of relaxing gardening game, rather than a frantic, survival death-ride, haha.
Hi all!
Have tried all of the submissions now, awesome work everyone! I will send out a survey in a day or two, so we can start planning for next jam.
Hopefully we can have a sit down with the team next week and record a video when we play the submission before everyone goes on vacation. And I think @britzl needs to do a lottery for the swag as well?
For such small amount of submissions I hope there will be 1/1 chances
Will the late submissions be counted as well?
Yeah late submissions should be fine, as long as it’s within reason I think
I made a small update.
What I did:
- Added a menu of sorts and a proper end game screen. Well, properer.
- Made heroes gain attack speed as they level up so they have an easier time getting through throngs of spiders
- Changed some numbers here and there a little with hopes of affecting balance
What I didn’t do:
- Address the underlying problem - that there’s very little player interaction. The idea was that most of the gameplay would consist of cultivating the village above. That didn’t make it in the game at all. The heroes were supposed to progress from “source of income” through “minor nuisance” to “victory condition”. Right now they are “something to watch die”. Not ideal.
- Test my balance changes. It should be OK, but I don’t have much interest in tuning it when it’s obvious a complete overhaul is what’s needed. I’m pretty sure the game is winnable, though.
I’ll go back to working on my main major project now, but I think I’ll return to this in time.
Could you maybe add them to the Jam page on itch.io too?
Yes, will do this on Monday when I’m back!
Here’s a small update to BitRiders too:
- Fixed a weird error when clicking rate.
- Fixed pricing of things, life is not so cheap now.
- Added - Relative velocity to the traffic : try it out !!!.
- Added - Enter your name to be shown on share screen.
- Minor bug fixes
- Added - Zones.
- Added - Touch controls, the game will work on mobiles too now.
- GUI optimizations
Not sure why. Runs perfectly on my mobile too. Will look into this soon.
Sorry for my late response on that. If you are serious (are you kidding !? ), I can share it with you. You can use it wherever you like.
No . It would be very nice to have, rather than having a freebie sticking out as the current logo + it is awesome
Straight put : I desperately need a logo. The current is really not that suitable.
I’m late as always :)It was a busy week after the Jam. There is nothing special about it but here is the source: https://github.com/selimanac/udgj2-human-trials
I’ve sent you a link to submit your game!
