[SOLVED][1.14.0] - Mouse Y Position Seems To Be Backwards? Is This Intended?

Hi,

Slowly learning Defold Engine 1.14.0.
I just noticed that the mouse Y position is backwards?
Top of window shows window height value and bottom of window shows 0?
Seems weird, is this intended?

NOTE # 1: I am on CachyOS KDE Plasma Linux x86_64 (Arch Linux based distro)

That is the intended behaviour of the default render script.

Most game engines have the Y-axis pointing up (and X-axis pointing right), with Z-axis either pointing in our out from the screen.

Ok, Godot Engine does the opposite, thanks!

Well, not in 3D, where they also use “right handedness”.
Defold is a 3D engine, and we use the same coordinate system regardless of which camera you are using.

Godot’s gizmo:

Also, a great resource is Freya Holmérs image:

I really dont understand why people create engines with left handed axis: all math and physics is based on right handed axis (for cross vector product for example), so with left handed you must correct all math formulas  this is self-torture

Oh geez. I’ve honestly never used Unity or Unreal before, but I didn’t catch on that they are left-handed. That’s now one of the reasons I don’t use them, if anyone ever asks why.
