Hi.

I’m really new to the engine, so hopefully this doesn’t seem like a stupid request.

I’d like to suggest a “search as you type” box at the top of the assets panel, with a global hot key to jump to it, “return” should open the top result of the search. It would make project organisation easier to navigate, and there’s plenty of whitespace available next to the Assets title.

It’s not exactly the thing you’re after, but cmd+shift-r will open up the “Select Resource” window. Start typing and it will start to filter the list.

Actually, that’s more or less exactly what I was looking for.

I would still say that there should be search box at the top of the file system tray, but the behaviour would be very similar.
