wait if I create a branch for my project can I open it offline or do I still need to be online.
All Defold projects are always stored locally on your harddrive. You can choose to use a version control system with online hosting like GitHub, or a project hosted on Defold servers, but once you have it opened at least once on your computer it will exist on disk. Select “Open From Disk…” and browse to the correct folder.

No, you don’t have to be online. Once you’ve opened it (and saved it to your hard drive once) it’s stored there forever.
I don’t see any open from disk or do I need to update
And the branch should be opened when I’m online right because I get so many errors of dependencies whenever I try to open if offline
