Official Refold stance on Vision Pro

(Yes I know this is a little bit silly for Defold, please do read on)
The big 3 all have some extent of Vision Pro support.
What is the Defold official stance on support for Vision Pro? I know that Defold obviously doesn’t support VR since it only supports 3D with 3rd party tools like Scene3D and these don’t support VR.
But Vision Pro capabilities and implementations are far from VR. A common implementation for Vision Pro support is rendering 2d windowed content in 3d space that would otherwise be an iPad or macOS window. This level of support seems at least remotely plausible that Defold could support it without changing or shifting the long term vision or vibe.

There is no reason why Defold can’t also be a VR gamedev tool. The magic is in the hardware not the game engine software. In software you’re basically just rendering stuff twice. The financial backing to make it happen / will of the team to make it happen is what’s necessary. There are opportunities like getting in the relative ground floor of VR/VRM support (built on glTF with extensions made specifically for VR avatars) stuff that may be lost because not enough interest is being given by financial backers / devs using Defold or the Defold team doesn’t want to bother with the needs of these things if they prefer to work on other features and don’t want a potential dumptruck load of issues/feature requests from this new audience. This kind of fear can be understood when a very narrow mission is needed to be focused on (plus there is fear from some people of bloat / fear of making 2D games worse to make with Defold if 3D features are given attention, these fears are unjustified). But to be competitive with other tools Defold does need to really make making 3D stuff with the editor/engine a pleasure, simple, just works, and then it can make VR with its various applications just work too.
