Large bitmaps are clipped in Defold 1.4.8 (SOLVED)

I noticed this strange behaviour on some, but not all, bitmaps. It seems it’s the slightly larger bitmaps that get clipped.

Minimal project:
Archive.zip (24.5 KB)

Not sure if this is a bug, or something I’ve missed?

Solved: It was indeed something I’d missed, but nothing to do with Defold. When exporting bitmaps from text in Figma, outlines and shadows are ignored.

It doesn’t really have to do with the background, other than that it’s more apparent.

I’d start at looking into the settings of the font.

Hi @totebo!

Hm, I might not understand - but isn’t the image you set on the atlas the problem?

So, on a black background, the logo looks fine, on any other one you can see the black “clipped” outlines.

It’s not a font that @totebo is using. It is an image in an atlas.

BUT if I open the project and look at the logo.png then it is clipped in the source image:

I realised this after I posted, doh! I updated the post.

Oh dear. It looks like the new vector software I’m using that’s the culprit. Shame on you, Figma. The issue wasn’t obvious inside Defold because all backgrounds are dark.

As you were everyone. :flushed:
