How to use Dragonbones 5.6.3

Hello All,
I know the Defold supporting spine animation with a spine extension. I have the DragonBones Latest Version 5.6.3. It is exporting only the Spine 3.3 json files.
Is there anyway to use them? Because in Defold manual pages it is saying;
" If you work in Dragon Bones , simply select Spine as your output data type. Also select Images as image type. This will export a ∫ file and all necessary images into a folder. Make sure to rename the .json file to .spinejson . Then add those to Defold as described above."
So Is there any working example with DragonBones exported json files with the lastes Defold Spine extension?
Or after exporting the json files do I need to make any changes on them?

I’m interested in this as well. The quote you provided is a bit out of date as far as I know. I was able to successfully import the skeleton by manually tweaking the .json file DragonBones gave me. But I couldn’t get the animation (and other things) to work.

The latest spine extension is using the latest stable release of Spine. Unfortunately spine introduced breaking changes after 3.8. The best option would be to look into creating a native extension that uses dragon bones directly. I believe the have the cpp code on their github.

Ok. As I understand no one from Defold team has an answer for that. So That means there is no way to use Dragonbones with Defold. But at least you could give a respond about it. Thank you anyway.
As a note you should remove the DragonBones parts from your Defold Manuals.

Yes, but @blisteredMind already summarised it in his reply.

This is the correct answer to your question. There would be no point in repeating it.

@Hga please remember that Defold is very much a community developed project. The team was quite gracious enough to build the new spine extension for us due to the high demand for current features. It also worth noting that Dragonbones has not updated their project in years. Spine is an active project that is coming out with new features quite often. I know the issue is that it cost to use even simple features like IK weights and targets, but this also ensures the product gets maintained. I consider myself lucky that Defold is built upon an open source platform that has been well funded and amazingly maintained.
