How to use a custom font with non-ascii characters? (SOLVED)

Hello,

I am unable to use a custom font with non-English letters: õ,ä,ö,ü. These letters are definitely a part of the font file, however when trying to assign the font to text in Defold, the text just disappears.

The font file, which I am using is this: Grandis Regular.zip (70.3 KB)

What could be the issue here?

Thanks!

Yes, this did the trick.

Thank you!

An interesting thing that feels like a bug though, is that if this option is not ticked then in the .front preview what I see is this:

However, after I enable the “All Chars” option, the preview does not show any text. I wonder if this is a bug.

I also noticed something similar with Japanese fonts; the preview shows only the Roman characters even though the Japanese glyphs were added to the extra characters field.
