This is something I could never figure out. On Windows I have Defold pinned to the taskbar for quick access, however when I click the shortcut it creates a second taskbar icon for the actual running instance. Compare this with most other programs such as File Explorer, where the running instance occupies the same slot as the shortcut.
You can still open multiple instances by right-clicking the icon and selecting Defold.exe. I don’t think running multiple copies of the editor at once is the main use case.
