Facebook Instant testing on device

I’ve run into a performance issue on a Facebook Instant game. Is there a way to test quickly on device somehow, to avoid the [build > unzip asset folder > copy asset folder > zip up archive > upload to FB > enter password > set live] dance?

Facebook used to provide a way where you hosted the game content locally and set up a proxy or similar. Can’t remember the details and can’t look it up but it should be in their docs.
