Please provide more information:

So, on my computer, every time I make a change to “main.collection” the app lags a lot and even freezes and doesn’t respond for a few seconds, this also happens when I place the mouse on the editor screen.

How can you see the application crashes when I place the mouse and move it in the editor

Which OS are you using? How much memory do you have? Which GPU?

What do the editor logs say? Any clues? Editor overview

OS:windows 11
memory in OS(C:):73,9 GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 635M(GF108)

Another thing is that according to the task manager, the JDK uses a lot of memory on my computer

For a game editor, it’s still acceptable. Actually Defold is using less memory than Unity or Godot. That’s one of reasons I choose Defold after trying Unity and Godot

That looks like disk space. I’m more interested in knowing the amount of RAM memory? 4GB, 8GB, 16Gb?

This is expected.

Does this also happen when you edit other files? Perhaps a .script file?

Could it be that you have antivirus blocking or scanning something in the editor when you interact with it? Could you check the log of your antivirus?

i will see the memory sometime

for the JDK i recommend using languages more faster like c or c++, but theres no problem using java

the “.script” files opens on visual studio code, so it don’t lag

i alerday tried godot with lua support, but i give up

You install win 11 on notebook 2012 - 2014 year?

Yes, I installed it, and it runs with good performance even on a 2012\2014 computer
