Only a few days ago Defold was working just fine. As for what I was doing, I just launched the Defold engine like I normally do, so I’m really confused at what is happening.
Basically I’m not allowed to debug the game anymore.
Could you post answers to the following questions please:
What operating system are you using?
What Defold build do you have?
When did you last update Defold?
Do you have a public facing repo others can try and build of your game?
Can you access the logs as described here?
This information will allow others to determine the source of your issue.
Sure!
OS : Windows 7
Defold build : probably the latest (1.2.180)
Last updated : today, because I reinstalled it
Repo? Like a repository? : No
Logs are accessible : Yes
However, because I’m not very familiar with this, it probably doesn’t help much…
In the latest version (1.2.180) we updated to a newer version of OpenGL. I’m guessing it it’s causing some problem for you. You can download the old version here: Release v1.2.179 · defold/defold · GitHub
@JCash will want to know more about your system. What kind of graphics card do you have? Are the drivers up to date?
I have an Intel graphics card (not sure which one it is, really) and as for if the drivers are up to date, I have no idea and I won’t be able to do anything about it anyway.
Thanks Luigen, did you download the old version that britzl linked above? That should still work for you whilst the Defold team looks at the issue. Just be sure to not update that one until you are sure the problem is solved.
Unfortunately, I don’t seem to be able to find out what OpenGL version I am using. GLview doesn’t work either because I use a potato computer, after all. Even after trying to dive through all the files and control panel settings I could possibly access turns up with nothing. Sorry.
