Code certificate for Windows

Hello, when I run my bundled project, Windows Defender always treats my .exe file as a potential danger because of an “unknown publisher.” I read a thread about this on the forum, where a third-party certificate service was suggested as a solution, but it charges money for the service.

Is there any way I can get a certificate for free so my .exe doesn’t have problems with Windows Defender?

You can submit it as a false positive here:

It’s a manual process for them to confirm it I think, but it tends to be pretty quick.

You will need to create an account.

Thank you, I will try that! :orange_heart: :blue_heart:

So, it’s been a while and I still haven’t figured out how to remove this Windows popup. I’ve submitted the file to malware analysis twice, and there have been no problems, according to replies. I really do need help with it, because these popups can scare some users away. This information seems like an industry secret to me…
