Blurry GUI elements using Slice 9

Hi I’m having some issues with the Slice 9 gui element. The images are coming out blurry:

In the editor it looks like this
java_Sp2NNj5jAG

The picture itself is a high resolution picture: Square Block

As for the material I’m using the default: /builtins/materials/gui.material
Setting to high dpi did no difference.
Min Filter, Max Filter set to linear, linear.

Anyone know why this looks so blurry?

This just looks like the output is lower resolution than in the editor. Can you change the scale for the gui nodes or may be the windows size?

I think the reason is mipmaping. Make a copy of gui.material, add a texture sampler with linear/linear filtering, update the material in the GUI.

But the lack of mipmaps can result in a crispy picture. This can be solved by using the RGSS material from Sharp Sprite.

This didn’t do anything for me:

The game still looks blurry like the above picture. Having it crispy /pixelated is ok , however it still comes out blurry.

Is this solved?

Yes there should be no problem with this. Are you having issues with blurry box nodes when using slice 9?
