Hi
I’m still learning Defold. I have bumped into an issue (minor I am sure) with art work. I downloaded a simple PNG of an aircraft from a free assets website for my current project.
When Chrome displayed the image it had a big white block of background. When Defold’s engine displays the image it has the same big white background.
I Googled about how to get a transparent background and followed the advice offered. Firstly all the ‘FREE’ websites turned out to be ‘FREE’ only if you sign up for a subscription and surrender all your personal info to the site owners.
The other advice suggested that Microsoft Windows 11 Paint should be up to the task via the Remove Background option. I tried that multiple times and got no joy. I’ve tried filling in the white space with another color and removing that and got no joy. I’ve currently set the background of my animate sprites to the color of the background png (a big block of what Paint calls Aqua (1)).
Am I missing something in Defold’s setup or am I amazingly dim.
I can’t afford to download some huge art package.
Any advice and/or wisdom will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you and regards
Frank
