Showing and hiding keyboard does not return android app back to immersive mode (DEF-2554) (SOLVED)

When I open the keyboard on my app on an android device, it shows the virtual buttons on the bottom. When I hide the keyboard, it does not hide those virtual buttons again. Could this be fixed? I’m planning to release within the next week or two and it would be great if this just worked. I tried to take screenshots to share, but taking a screenshot seems to close the keyboard and the virtual buttons immediately after correctly…

Hmm, this is unfortunate and something I didn’t think to test when immersive mode was implemented. It should be a fairly easy fix. I’ll look into it and report back here. Thanks.

Any update on this? I’m prepping for release and this would hold up the android version.

created a ticket for this (DEF-2554) and believe we’ll be able to look at this this week. @britzl can you confirm?

Yes, I will look at it during the week. A fix should be included in the next release.
