After talking to @AGulev today I realised that we didn’t announce that linear and angular velocity of dynamic collision objects are no longer read only. We made this change in 1.2.171 but it never made it into any release notes:

Y… es, when dynamic bodies collide with kinematic bodies, forces don’t work as they should when “teleporting” kinematic objects using set_position().
**Describe the solution you'd like (REQUIRED):**
An API so I can change velocity via Lua for collision objects of kinematic type.
