Hello everyone,
Recently I switched from Windows to Linux Mint Mate and I have an issue in the editor. If I make a text selection using the mouse and I keep the mouse pressed then I can’t scroll.(Basically I can’t resize text selections by mouse scrolling.)
Does anyone else have this issue? Is this a Linux thing?

I guess so. On Ubuntu 24.04 I have the same issue.
It works in other text editors. Should this be a bug report ?

Yes, works everywhere else, in web/file browsers, in editors. I found in the issues a similar one, you can upvote it

S… crolling the text view up and down doesn't work while highlighting text.
**Describe the solution you'd like (REQUIRED):**
I would like to be able to precisely highlight the text that I want to delete, rather than having to push my mouse up or down, which ends up scrolling the text view way too far.
**Describe alternatives you've considered (REQUIRED):**
Repeatedly hitting alternative keys to scroll bits at a time, or pushing the mouse around, both of which cause frustration and waste time.
**Additional context (OPTIONAL):**
The following screenshot shows trying to highlight more of the function above the highlighted section, but being unable to quickly and precisely do so.
