I remember that there was talk of removing the online depnedeny for creating projects and for removing the default git integration. Is it still planned ?
Any rough timeline for it?
The immediate need is to remove online dependency to even open a project. This has been fixed in Editor2 already, and will probably not be fixed for Editor1.
The next part is to be able to more easily control where your project is hosted. This is already possible (although messy to configure). It will be fixed in a better way in time, but I can’t give any ETA for it, sorry.
I’m not sure I understand what you mean by removing the default git integration. Do you mean removing it from the editor, or removing git from a Defold project in general? To my knowledge we have not planned to do that.
