As part of my A levels I need to create a 2D game (I’ve chosen to do a board game), the problem is I have no clue where to start nor how to program. Was wondering if someone can point me in the right directions for how to start, tutorials, etc. (Deadlines sometime around May 2025, doesn’t require for game to be complete)

Thanks for the link to that, I have previously had a flick through the tutorials but I’m not entirely sure what’s gonna help me and what’s not useful at all. My programming knowledge and skills are near none, sorry
You can start by learning basics of Lua Language. Just search on Youtube, tons of tuts there. Also you can find lots of resources here: Big List of Lua Resources!
and then you can start learning Defold from tuts:

also you can use Defold’s Discord to ask questions, there is a beginner channel
