I just noticed today that defold homepage got updated!
It’s much better and more appealing!

Just a small feedback.
Maybe instead of making “Family Island” game as the only one being shown on the homepage.
How about making this showcase section as automatic Carousel with other games as well?

Thanks. It is a work in progress and will likely undergo some additional changes in the coming days.
We did previously show three games. Perhaps we still should? Our thinking when we changed to show only one game was that the page is very tall as it is, and that it might be better to show only one game and then a “call to action” button to see more games on the showcase page.

I see what you’re saying. I am just thinking to make it more attractive on the first impression without having the visitor to click more.
Maybe showing one popular game for each platform in this auto carousel.
Just something to think about.
Something I think would be really effective and cool would be to show a webm/gif composite of 2s clips from various Defold games on loop so that it shows the full range of capabilities of Defold in a fast and impressive way. I think there might be other game engines that did this or not, I don’t remember.
Totally agree! Just showing Family Island makes Defold look like an ad
