As many of you know, this is not really a defold game. It’s actually a card game involving a book. But, I’ve actually been playing it online (with videocalls) using defold for a scoring system. And all of the animations in the kickstarter page were made with Defold.
I am incredibly proud, shocked and happy to say that I reached my modest funding goal of 250€ within an hour of posting. I have some really generous friends!
If you’re a defold person and you back the game, please let me know and I’ll include some extras in your order Rewards go from 1€ to 50€.
Even if you don’t back please visit the page and watch the video as I’ve heard getting hits and video views helps with promotions on the algorithms (I am not sure this is true but it can’t hurt, right?!)
Great work. Btw, I love the illustrations and example questions are so exciting.
Nice to hear that you reach your funding goal.
Do you have Twitter account? I want to share it but can’t find your account?
Pledged too! It’s a great idea and the artwork looks excellent
You wouldn’t be sharing a digital version early by any chance? I’ve got a virtual socialising session tomorrow evening and Malas Decisiones would be perfect for it…
Hi! I actually do the game ONLINE for free because Jägermeister are sponsoring me! So yes, I could host a session for you. I have done events with many corporations including EY, KPMG, and Zurich insurance. So I am clearly a pretty serious dude.
The only thing is, I have to be there on the call (as there is no digital version as such)
If that sounds interesting, give me a call or a whatsapp! I’ll send my number via DM
Thanks @88.josh for a very fun session of Malas Decisiones! I can definitely recommend it, great party game and very suitable for lockdown times. Also kudos for the question design, because we tried continuing the game after @88.josh signed off with “moral” questions we found on the internet and it was much less fun (the questions we found elsewhere tended to either be far too convoluted or way too dark - much darker than even the Forbidden Question from Malas Decisiones)…
Hey dude!!! I am glad you were enjoyed it. They were a really friendly bunch who really got the idea I also REALLY love it when people tell me they want to continue playing after I have done.
After writing 320 of the questions, I did get to the point where I was tempted to copy some from the internet. But I had a look round, and it’s true, there is a special art to making the questions short, funny, and interesting. I’m actually going through the book now and trying to change out some of the questions that aren’t quite good enough before going to print, more or less on the 10th.
and tell me what you result you get (hopefully “OK!” and a language selection) and also tell me if you thought it was a fun challenge or a pain in the ass or if you gave up or any other feedback
this is a huge, huge, huge deal for me as it allows me (with a little prior investment) to print 250 copies of the book, do some live shows, and generally start up a whole thing. The books are gonna be lovely: hardback, set by a professional graphic designer, with recycled paper, all the good stuff. And of course, my illustrations. None of this would have been possible without Defold: from the original online version of the game I played over videocall, to the creation of the marketing material, to the new version which me and @Alex_8BitSkull are secretly working on for steam, Defold has been an integral part of this project.
Right now I am working on the website which I can’t wait to reveal tomorrow and soon many more things will happen
