Importants things:

  • The jam starts on 13/06/2025 at 4:00 PM CEST, with the announcement of theme.
  • The jam ends on 15/06/2025 at 11:59 PM CEST.
  • Register on the jam page (click on the large button “Register Now”).
  • Sign up at https://developer.crazygames.com/ to get familiar with the user interface and create a game in advance that you can then link to.
  • Prepare a minimal project template and try to build a release HTML5 build of the game at least once, if you have never done so before.
  • The game needs to be playable only on Desktop, this one will be used for testing.
  • Have fun!

There’s a rule against starting development before the jam begins, but there’s also permission to use pre-made assets. How about pulling Lua functionality from previous projects? For example, reusing a Lua module that helps with key bindings, or reusing a Lua module that handles saving and loading data from JSON files? I assume those are fine, since they’re no different than fetching dependencies from the Asset Portal.

Yes, that is standard prep work for any new project, game jam or otherwise. It’s working on the actual game that should take place when the jam has started.

Also make sure to join the Discord server for the jam if you have specific questions about the jam.

Mine submission is sadly buggy, but still you can try at least one turn

my humble contribution to the jam.. it’s a simplistic version of “Fizz buzz”.

worth a mobile version? multiplayer maybe?

How can we see all participants and play the games?

I wanted to join and actually had an idea, but unfortunately, some other freelance jobs got in the way :frowning:
I was planning to do something like this: Remnants of Naezith on Steam (waaay simpler and in a more casual style), using my tile raycast lib.

I don’t think there is a page gathering all entries like on itch  People were posting links to their previews on Crazy Games Discord though
