Hey Defold team,
lately I find it difficult to get the editor to auto update. I’ve tried all the different tricks,logging out and back in, but that doesn’t seem to trigger the update.
Can we get a menu option to check and force the editor to update?
I’m on OSX High Sierra.
Possibly the same issue as described here?

I’ve been just thinking about this and I wouldn’t have mentioned it without being prompted by this post, since I’m kinda torn. Whenever there’s an update, I launch Defold, notice that it is the case and then Defold has to be restarted. I was thinking that it would be nice if it could simply update automatically.
Then again, I very much appreciate that Defold is so reasonable when it comes to new updates. I detest it when a pop-up offering an update shows up when I’m starting a program. I tend to not install it out of spite when that happens.
So maybe clicking the “update available” offering the option to install it next time you start Defold would be a good way.
