Lovely idea and it looks great. Also, the rhythm makes your mouse cursor bounce ![]()
The graphics look good and are very satisfying to watch ![]()
I’m building “Space Base Maintenance” (literally, I can’t find a better title
) - where you need to keep all the machines up and running and manage resources in order to maintain the longest mission of the crew gathering intel on an extraterrestial planet

I will never finish this on time!
I have to draw the character, replace the sprites with the final ones when if I ever have time to make them, create the actual levels…
Аt least I have a tiny cringe monologue ![]()
Love it!
Hi everyone, I just wanted to share my halfbaked underdevelop game and I need help too!
So this is a video of my entry Promenade
For now it is not really playable, there will be a promenade phase and a fight phase with lasers, but I need to code it ![]()
So I am just in a hurry and dont think I will have time to finish this!
Anyway, for now my itch.io page is in a draft mode, I have questions if you can help:
- can I put the page as published already and submit it in the gamejam entry, and afterwards update and change my game? Or should I wait till it is finished? First time on itch.io
- my game works well on html via desktop browser, but on mobile it doesnt change layout in landscape when I rotate my phone… what are the settings to do so??
- i have a bug on my character fliping (see at end of video), my dog is a collection made of multiple parts. I really dont know why it works then it does a half baked flip! But I will try to use negative scaling instead of sprite flip to see if it works(didnt have time)
I hope I will have time to complete the real game mechanics till saturday, even if I dont I will finish it afterwards
I will add that I did ALL the contrary of the wise advices of @Pawel ![]()
Didnt have time to prepare anything upfront, had the idea of the game after the theme was given, made specific assets for it (still need to record music and sounds
) start almost from scratch…![]()
But that’s a blast for me to try to finish on time, and I am still happy with it
I think you need to switch your mobile browser to landscape mode to solve this problem. Apparently, your mobile browser is currently in portrait mode.
By the way, your game looks quite unique.

There is an email from few days ago
“…submit your entry before the deadline on Sunday, April 26th, 5 PM CEST. Don’t leave that to the last moment as you can still edit your entry after submitting as long as you do it before the deadline.”
As far as I understand you can submit now and update it later but the update has to be before the deadline.
And btw… it’s against the rules to prepare in advance or reuse old games. JFYI ![]()
About the mobile issue. I think there was a setting under the project html where you can set it to fit the screen. When you go fullscreen it rotated to landscape automatically.
True, yes, and it’s a good idea - making sure you can make a simple page for it on itch, upload your game and test it there, if you have a HTML5 build (you can test without publishing, so only you can see it), then publish and submit to the jam this page ![]()
Is there a specific license or credits text we need to put in our game?
You mean regarding Defold? No. But it would be nice to note “Made with Defold”
![]()
Regarding other used assets - if their license require you to name the author (e.g. CC-BY 4.0) you have to. If license doesn’t require it - it is still nice to put the author of the assets in credits. It can be on the itch page in the description:
We have the list of licenses we use here, and explain what they’re used for:
Parcel Master is my entry for the jam! Play it here:
The game is open source. GitHub repo:
Thank you! I never knew how to create game loading animations in Defold before, but after looking at your source code, I realized it uses gif ![]()
Really good entry! Clean graphics and UI, addictive mechanic but yet simple enough to code fast, bravo.
First jam but learning a lot just observing games of others! Thanks for the share
Hey guys,
this is my entry for the gamedev.js jam.
It’s a small stealth game, where evil robots (or machines) invaded your bedroom and try to catch you. There are several objects in the room you can grab in a specific area and put the enemies in the way. The light circle around the player and enemy indicates the sound_area. When it overlaps with an enemy, they are going to attack you.
There are only 3 levels yet..
it looks very interesting and quiet unique because I have never seen such game.

I didnt see either a game like that. I started with a simple shooter and thought that was too boring. So I tried to make it interesting, but not too difficult (somehow my games go everytime in this direction
)
I will see if people are interested to play that.
