Defold Editor should drop the code editor

I need to better understand this. There is a template project and setup instructions by @astrochili. What is lacking from this besides the fact that it is a Defold user and not the Defold Foundation which created it?

Yes, being from, supported and promoted by the Defold Foundation is the main difference and desire.
Lacking:

1. Run project (not bob.jar)
2. Set VS Code as an external editor from a dropdown as opposed to filling the path to the editor.
