Why this started to happen, is this something I can fix on my side?

SSDP device (dmengine creates one, so the editor may use its services) can’t send announcement message. Maybe firewall blocked it, or something like that.

No, sorry, I don’t know.
We didn’t change anything related to SSDP for ages.
Maybe it’s something related to MacOS Sequoia or maybe something else.
-8 is RESULT_HOSTUNREACH
You may switch log level to 0 and create an issue with full device info and full log (with level 0). But it’s less likely related to this beta (because there is no changes related to network in this version)

Hi everyone! We decided to merge this fix into the 1.9.6 beta to avoid additional disruptions for users, because it necessitates an update to extension-spine.

You will need to update to version 3.6.2 of extension-spine in your projects. Sorry for the inconvenience.

FIX: (#9884) ‘Rewrote Gui layout editing to work efficiently with templates’ by matgis

  • Fixed various fundamental issues around Gui templates and layouts in the editor. You should now be able to freely combine Gui templates and layouts without worry.
  • Projects that use a lot of Gui templates will load faster and use less memory.
  • When renaming a resource (such as a font) inside a Gui scene, we will update references to the original name in layouts and scenes that import it as a template.
  • Clearing an overridden property will no longer focus on and select all text in the cleared field in the Property Editor.
