Yeah. funny fact is that I’m not using the extension just yet, it’s just in the project.
I’m going to try with the latest stable and see if that also happens. I’ve added iap just recently so it should be quick to narrow it down.
I added a potential fix in the extension. I you could try https://github.com/defold/extension-iap/archive/refs/heads/master.zip as the dependency to see if it helps or not.

There’s a few warnings in the editor console now, not sure where they are coming from though.
I made a proper release now, that you can use instead of the more volatile master branch:
also need to change path to material? “/defold-spine/assets/” instead “builtins/materials”

Hm. I can’t reproduce it on Defold 1.2.188 (d568e5b). Hyper Trails demo runs well. Additionally, I tested my other projects with meshes and models on Beta, and they run fine too.
It works by using Cmd+B (if you build in the editor) and doesn’t work if you bundle it (or Build and Run HTML5). Also it works if you have spine-extension
in your projects.

Oh, yes! The problem exists if you run “Build HTML5” from the editor or bundle the project.

I now see animations play, but the callback specified in play_anim isn’t called. There are no errors in the console. Reported as https://github.com/defold/extension-spine/issues/5
There is no crashes more. But seems complete_function in spine.play_anim dosn’t called now.
