Koen, together with the original developer of SpeedRunners, is creating Sprint City in Defold and we discussed how it’s being made and he shared insightful tips and advices for Defold developers!

Something to read and something to wishlist!

I’d watch a deep dive video interview of the technical approaches for this any day. The webrtc netcode, physics, rendering, and game design decisions all sound super interesting.

Very interesting read, I love reading these posts from developers. Hopefully there will be plenty more in the future. I didn’t know that SR2 was being developed at the same time as this game, that’s interesting. I wonder which game will be more popular.

The fact that they’re gonna have a web version of the game is really cool.

Also I fully agree with the final advice. Annotations help so much when developing, even though it’s quite painful to add them everywhere. Hopefully we’ll be able to use Teal everywhere soon.
