Crash when opening projects after updating

Describe the bug (REQUIRED)
Was working fine yesterday. I updated Defold today and now it immediately crashes upon opening new or any existing projects.

To Reproduce (REQUIRED)

  1. Open Defold
  2. Select ‘My Project’ → Open Selected
    1. Also tried creating new project from empty template, downloading tutorial and ‘open from disk’.
  3. Defold immediately crashes

Expected behaviour (REQUIRED)

Defold to open the project and not crash.

Defold version (REQUIRED):

  • Version 1.12.0

Platforms (REQUIRED):

  • Platforms: Windows 10

From the log, it appears as if something has corrupted your editor installation somehow. Can you try re-downloading and installing the editor to see if that helps?

Thanks! Deleting the existing one and re-downloading a fresh copy works :slight_smile:

Also, I don’t know if this is related but the download from defold.com kept failing? I ended up downloading from github.

Huh. The download links seem fine now at least. Hopefully it was only a temporary glitch. Glad to hear you got it working again, though!
