Connecting my 8BitDo Zero 2 for HTML5 Games

Controller: 8BitDo Zero2
OS: Ubuntu 22.04
Browser: Firefox

  1. Make sure your Bluetooth is on.
  2. Turn on controller by holding Start + B together until the controller begins blinking once per cycle.
  3. Hold Select for three seconds to begin pairing, the controller will begin to blink rapidly.
    1. In your Bluetooth settings, continue to pair your computer with the controller. The blue light will become solid.
  5. Once Paired successfully, hold Start + Up on the D-Pad to enter D-Input Mode until the blue light blinks red once.

The D-input mode on the 8BitDo Zero 2 allows for flexible D-pad input. Before doing this, My Controller would not be read when testing my HTML5 Game, now it reads like a sonnet.
