Defold will not launch on MAC OS X
I just downloaded for the first time and I get the following error message when trying to launch.
“Defold.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.

MAC OSX El Capitan Version 10.11.3
Can you try to download again? You might have gotten an incomplete download or something.
I’ve downloaded it 4 times and still receive the same error. What is the defold.app file size suppose to be? 71KB?

That looks correct, the actual Defold.app is in fact only 71 KB. This seems to have more to do with your security settings, please have a look at this guide: http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/45404/mac-downloaded-app-is-damaged-and-cant-be-opened-error-solved/
Well… Thanks, it was the security settings. That is the first time in 5 years I have gotten that exact error message, and I download and run other applications from the internet with no problem, with the security settings set to “Allow apps downloaded from: Mac App Store and identified Developers”. I had to change it to “Anywhere” temporarily for Defold.app to run and then I changed it back.

This is something we need to look into and resolve so people don’t have to go through those steps.
