Blank GUI screen

Is it just me, or can anyone else open this gui file? it shows up blank for me. I cant zip and attach it so here is the code;

it shows up as a black screen. the other gui fines work fine

Works for me, although I don’t have access to the atlas (named background). Have you tried restarting the editor?

Yes, When I open the gui, I see the default blue color with no graph lines, then it just goes straight black on me, and in my error log I get that error I posted above. I’ll try to recreate it and then rename it and see if that fixes it though. Thanks for checking it out.

I tried to remake it, as soon as I created a text box the screen went blank and I got the render error. Any idea what I can do to resolve that?

update; Version 1.2.81 works fine with no render error. Weird.

Hmm, strange. @sven or @Mathias_Westerdahl might be able to provide some more insight into this.

Could you install a fresh copy of Defold 1.2.82 into a separate folder (also make sure there are no spaces in the path, just to be on the safe side :slight_smile: ) and try to reproduce the error?

So ever since that first post ive still been having the issues, even while updating. I read through the error log and it seemed it was an issue with the text. When I delete the text I have, it kinda fixes the issue, but when I add it back, it’s the same thing. Any suggestions?

I think I saw something similar for a Windows user when we had a Defold training at the office. Where do you unzip Defold? I’ve seen issues if unpacking to Program Files.

No, originally it was in the downloaded folder when I first made this post, after the suggested I put it in the desktop and still having the same issue

Ok, hmm, long shot, but could you try running the game as an administrator?

Could you try downloading GLView and check which OpenGL version your system supports? @sven provides more information on how to do this in this answer.
