I haven’t programmed in 20-some years, so when I got an itch to make a game, I (as one does) picked an engine and language I knew nothing about.

To quickly move forward I’d recommend that you take a look at the DearImGUI extension (GitHub - britzl/extension-imgui: Dear ImGUI extension for Defold). It can really help speed up prototyping!
