Today I’m going to describe my path to different “levels” and show you our new tilemap and a few assets in game.
I needed to make a path to the ground floor of the building.
From the beginning, I wanted to show/hide tilemaps of each floor, but it was really slow process with freezes, so, I was decided to load each floor as a collection and unload previous floor. This way, each floor might be called a game level I won’t get a game without loading screens, but I will try to make those screens more comfortable for the player. I hope, 4096 tiles buffer will be enough for comfortable gameplay on each level…
