Hi, I just want to run my game on Android emulator

I need to test my game on an Android emulator (not on real device because I don’t have any Android phone). I tried with Android Studio but it’s so complicated and ultra slow. I also tried with Genymotion (with ARM translation) but no luck, the app just flashing and nothing happens.
I need some advices, please help.

http://www.bluestacks.com/ should work for testing Android APKs. Once you have it installed and your Google account setup on it I recommend using https://www.airdroid.com/ to manage your installed APKs.

I have tested Defold APKs and I remember them working fine but I might honestly be wrong as last few months I’ve been working with a few tools and may be misremembering. Test your game and let me know!

If you have any questions with setting it up you can ask here. You do not need to pay for it, but if you don’t they will want to download some promoted apps.

Try using the LeapDroid emulator!

Likely there are many android emulators Bluestacks, Droid4x, Memu, Nox. But after trying i would recommend to use Leapdroid. WHich is most fastest one as compared to other emulators. That works on virtualization technology. Here the Leapdroid android emulator features, performance and downloading on Pc are discussed

Thank you so much

Hi makeyupdates, surely I will try Leapdroid. Many thanks for your help.

Was something added to completely disable play in all emulators? I can’t get an apk to open in any emulator I test. I tried Blossom from Google Play store and doesn’t work either.

LeapDroid was discontinued and they seem to have blocked even opening it / reinstalling…

Not deliberately no, and I don’t remember usupdating anything special for android builds recently. You could try different dmengine.apk from the downloads page to perhaps see when it stopped working.
