Hi all! On the 1st of September we will be changing how you log in to the Defold forum. Currently you have one login that is used for the Defold dashboard and the editor, and a completely separate login for the forum. We are now switching to SSO (single sign on), meaning that you will have one login for all Defold services. I.e. the separate forum login will be removed and you will use your dashboard login here as well. Don’t worry, all the content on the forum will stay intact, it is only the login that changes!
What does it mean for you?
If you are using the same email for the forum and for the dashboard/editor:
You don’t need to do anything, the change will be seamless and you will keep your current account. There might be a short downtime on the forum just as we make the switch, but after that it should be business as usual.
If you use a different email on the forum and for the dashboard/editor:
You will need to change the email address you use on the forum to match the one you use on Defold. To do this, click your avatar in the top right, click your name, select “Preferences” in the menu and then change your email to the email linked to your Defold account. We will send an email reminder to anyone affected.
Please update your email address before the 1st of September, if you haven’t changed before that you won’t be able to log in to the forum anymore! If you don’t update in time you can contact us at info@defold.com and we can change it for you.
