# VS Code path has changed

I’m on Mac and recently updated VS Code which came to me in the shape of error when trying to open scripts from Defold (in Code). The error said:

```lua
Could not run external editor "/Applications/Visual Studio Code.app/Contents/MacOS/Electron"

Underlying error from the OS:
Cannot run program "/Applications/Visual Studio Code.app/Contents/MacOS/Electron (in directory ...): Exec failed, error 2 (No such file or directory)

```

The thing is the path of VS Code executable has changed to: “/Applications/Visual Studio Code.app/Contents/MacOS/Code” so you need to update the editor path in Defold settings.

I hope this will spare some of you a hassle. Also it would be worth noting in Defold documentation.
