Play / blend spine animation without interrupting currently playing animation

I want to allow spine characters to blink random. I have a blink animation and other animations. I want to blend the blink animation on top of other animations.

Maybe someone has a better idea of how to do smooth blending? Like I want to animate the eyes and then switch to an eye close state not only swap eye images.

But trying to load an export of it in Defold editor causes it to bug out.
