I created a new project. I try to open my project but program cant download data from server. Infinite downloading from server.
I haven’t heard of this issue recently. I assume you can open other projects?
I had a similar problem yesterday and restarting Defold solved the issue for me.
How did you restart Defold?
Like with any program. You close it and then start it again.
The problem could be that the Defold-editor forgets that you have been logged in after a while.
So for several hours after logging in you can open projects and synchronize as usual. But for me about once a day the editor loses the connection which leads to the infinite downloading problem described above.
When i try to reconnect by opening another project the editor is able to show me a list of my projects, but as soon as i try to open any of them, i get an error.
The only solution that worked for me so far was to restart the editor. Only then it seems to be able to get a proper connection. When this happens the next time, i will post the exact error message.
Problem is that i dont have any error message. I tried to restart Defold and open it again. Nothing happened. After i decided to reinstall Defold and situation didnt change.
Hello!
I know we’ve had issues with download speeds pretty recently. @Mikael could probably look into it and check so there isn’t any problem specifically with your requests, or your projects.
In the editor directory there should be a subdirectory called branches
. Within that directory there should be at least one directory with a number as it’s name, that number is the project’s ID. A complete example of the filepath could be E:\defold\branches\2315
.
Could you please look up the ID of the project that you are experiencing problems with and give it to either me or @Mikael?
Regards,
Jakob
I have resolved the problem. I reinstalled my Windows.
