I’ve tried updating my drivers but they are up-to-date and I have tried to use the patched version of the java.exe file and both of these don’t work. Now I am trying to extract the java.manifest file but I am having problems with doing so and can’t open mt.exe file to enter the commands. Can someone run through how to do this.
Can you provide some additional information about your system. Which version of Windows? What kind of graphics card do you have and what’s the driver version?
I think this solution is for an older version of Windows because I can’t find any settings to do with the display troubleshooting slider or compatibility slider. Do you have a more recent fix to this problem?
I still think the problem is this. Is it a laptop? Is it old? Can you run games on it?
This post seems to indicate that it’s a combination of driver, Windows 10 and Java version: jogl - jogamp using Generic GDI driver in Windows 10 (The solution in that post is to fall back to an older Java version but that won’t work in this case)
I am using a laptop and it is quite old, I think I got it around 4 or 5 years ago. I don’t really install many games on the laptop I use it more for doing work or watching Netflix etc. But I have installed a couple of games that I used to play a couple years ago, Brawlhalla which works fine, Hearthstone which can run but the graphics don’t display properly and other games that I can’t remember but I think worked fine.
