Editor 2 save bug strips some component transforms

Due to an unfortunate oversight, a recent version of the Defold Editor 2.0 could cause data loss when saving. The issue caused rotations and offsets of Tile Maps, Spine Models, Particle Effects and Model components in relation to their parent Game Object to be zeroed out when saving. The bug was introduced on May 16 16:35 GMT+2 and would have been pushed into the update stream shortly thereafter. The fix was pushed into the update stream on May 23 11:02 GMT+2.

Since the editor updates every file when saving, there is a high likelihood that your project might be affected unless you kept a keen eye on the changed files list.

If you think your project might have been affected, you should be able to examine the Git log to find and restore the original values. If you need assistance, don’t hesitate to contact us, and we will try our best to help.

We sincerely apologize for the trouble this might have caused and have now put in additional safeguards to ensure this sort of thing does not happen again.
