# Does Defold support autotiling?

Hi and welcome to the forum! The tilemap editor in Defold is pretty bare bones and doesn’t support autotiling, but [you can create your tilemap using Tiled](https://forum.defold.com/t/dont-forget-tiled-0-17-with-export-to-defold-tile-format/2650) and its [terrain tool](http://doc.mapeditor.org/manual/using-the-terrain-tool/), which if I’m reading the docs correctly is the same thing?
