Hey everyone!
I just started using Defold because it used Lua, I came from Roblox which uses lua too, but because I don’t know much I wanted to know if there were differences between both engines and if yes, which ones.

You can compare the API to see many of the differences
They do both use Lua but with Lua they enable different things in different ways.
A big and important difference between Defold and Roblox Studio is that with Defold you are free to release and solely profit from your creations. You can release your Defold based games on any platform it supports. With Roblox Studio, it’s not only a walled garden where ultimately others have control over what you release, but they will always profit from your work. It’s a brilliant ecosystem for the owners of Roblox.
