I’m trying to use Defold on a Mac but I’m a new Mac user. I activated the possibility of anything from the web to be installed, I moved the Defold folder to the Applications folder, but every time I try to open it, I receive the “Defold quit unexpectedly”. Am I doing something wrong or is Defold really not working properly for Macs at the moment?

Interesting. I did install it when I was running El Capitan and I was getting the same error. Upgraded to Sierra and it continues. Gonna try the the suggestion about using the terminal there. Thanks for the answer and sorry I let it slip without checking the FAQ thoroughly.
PS: Yes, that did the trick. 
The workaround was just added to the FAQ.
